What do you see in the figure? Vase or Faces

Change the way you look?

This is the famous Rubin’s vase. At a point in time, one can look in a particular  way or have one perspective only, due to which it is impossible to the see the  vase and the faces, both

at the same time, only flipping fast between them is possible.

Based on the above analogy-

  • Every life situation can have different points of views or ways of looking  at it. For example, an apple can be viewed from different points of view from above, below, sides etc. In fact there can be infinite points of views.  Each point of view is equally valid. It is up to the observer, which point of  view or perspective is chosen.
  • Once a point of view is adopted, the individual gives it his/her ‘Personal  Power’, which gives ‘weight’ to the ‘point of view’. The more personal  power (associated with credibility, status, position etc of individual ) the  individual has, the more ‘life’ the associated ‘point of view’ will get.
  • This way the ‘Point of view’ gets entangled with the individual or  consciousness.
  • The conscious attention of the individual on the ‘Point of view’ nurtures it  further and helps it grow.
  • The entanglement between ‘Point of view’ and individual is mesmerising.  Based on a Point of view, individual imagines situations and outcomes.  The sub-conscious mind is unable to distinguish between Imaginary and  Real scenarios. Also, one tends to get bound in ones perspective and  eventually may find it difficult to see any other ‘point of view’.
  • ‘Point of view’ further leads a chain of thoughts, emotions and behaviour.  The power of thoughts, emotions and behaviour go a long way in creating  the Reality which is in alignment with the point of view. Therefore  adopting different point of view will lead to a different manifestation of  reality or outcome.

Winston Churchill said, “A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an  optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty”

Therefore, a change in Point of view can change the outcome. So, choosing a  positive point of view is likely to take us to positive outcomes. At the same time  ‘entanglement’ with the point of view should be avoided.

This paper aims to carry out research to bring out the correlation between ‘Point  of view’ and ‘Outcome’.

Albert Einstein- ” There are only two ways to live your life- one, as though  nothing is a miracle and the other, as if everything is a miracle.”
